This role supports the continuous growth by leading, developing and continuously improving the Production Control and Logistics (PC&L) department.

The role holder would own the control of production by setting the sites Manufacturing Production Schedule (MPS), co-ordinating build sequences and ensuring kitted material is provided on time from the Stores Team.

By alignment with the Production Manager, Head of Programs and the Supply Chain manager; the PC&L Manager will ensure that customer deliveries are well planned, co-ordinated and executed.

The successful applicant will form part of the Supply Chain Department and will play a pivotal role in the sites daily and weekly operation.

What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Line Management and Accountability for the Production Control and Logistics Team (5-6 Headcount.) to include, performance management and development, setting clear measurable objectives and contributing to site engagement and improvement activities.
  • Creating and updating (weekly) the Manufacturing Production Schedule (MPS) in conjunction with the production manager) to ensure that the shop floor is well planned and executing as per the customer requirements.
  • Liaise with the sites key stakeholders to ensure that the customer facing team (Program Managers), the supplier facing teams (Supply Chain) and the internal facing teams (Production and Stores) are all in sync with the effective plan for running the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure the shop floor is serviced with raw materials to ensure 100% achievement of the MPS.
  • Ensure the kitting team are well supported, directed and motivated.
  • Own the inventory management for the stores area. Ensure regular cycle counting takes place and ensure a plan is in place to maintain a healthy level of inventory.
  • Delivering functional improvement activity across the PC&L department to ensure effective team governance, visual management, KPI management and improving the physical environment of the teams.
  • Observing and complying with company health & safety policies and company standard operating procedures and continuously looking to suggest improvements in these areas.







What Our Client Looks For:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (Supply Chain Management & Project Management skills are desirable)
  • Demonstrate a successful track record within a similar position at a similar level.
  • Professional and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced with working with ERP and MRP systems (SAP, Epicor etc .)
  • Can demonstrate their ability to negotiate, persuade and influence at a senior level, both externally and internally
  • Positive, enthusiastic with a track record of making significant improvements in their areas of expertise.
  • Data driven with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong IT skills. Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook). Power Bi is an advantage but not essential
