About the Role:
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the Project and Senior Surveyor in delivering a prestigious residential scheme. This role will offer exposure to various aspects of quantity surveying, providing invaluable experience for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
- Support with procurement, tendering, and contract management.
- Assist in evaluating variations and change orders.
- Maintain accurate records of costs and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the project and senior surveyors to ensure smooth project delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
- Some form of commercial qualification (e.g., degree, HNC) and some experience on site or in a project environment.
- Strong interest in transitioning into the high-quality residential sector.
- Previous experience in construction or a related sector is beneficial, but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude with a strong desire to learn and progress.
