CNC Turner (Precision Engineering)
Shift: Night Shift: Working 4 nights - Monday to Thursday
Location: Clacton on Sea, Essex
Salary: Competitive, with time and a half night shift premium
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join this long established and respected precision engineering company.
The ideal candidate will have completed a suitable engineering apprenticeship and possess knowledge of Mazatrol programming. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce components with tight tolerances
- Interpret technical drawings and program CNC machines using Mazatrol
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of components
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimise machining processes
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completed a suitable engineering apprenticeship
- Proficiency in Mazatrol programming
- Experience operating CNC lathes
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Hours:
- 39 per week
- Monday to Wednesday: 9.00pm to 7.30am
- Thursday: 8.00pm to 5.30am
