CNC Turner (Precision Engineering) - Day Shift
Day Shift: 4-day week, Monday - Wednesday 7:30am - 6:00pm and Thursday 7:30am - 5:00pm.
Location: Clacton on Sea, Essex.
Salary: Competitive, with overtime rates.
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join this long established and respected precision engineering company that serves many blue-chip companies within the Automotive, Marine, Aerospace, Food and Medical sectors.
The ideal candidate will have completed a suitable engineering apprenticeship and possess knowledge of programming. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce components with tight tolerances
- Interpret technical drawings and program CNC machines using Mazatrol
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of components
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimise machining processes
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completed a suitable engineering apprenticeship
- Proficiency in Mazatrol, Fanuc or similar
- Experience operating CNC lathes
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Hours: 39 per week
- Wednesday 7:30am - 6:00pm
- Thursday 7:30am - 5:00pm.
