- Candidates should have experience in machining, the ability to read technical drawings, and problem-solving skills, with a basic understanding of tool design.
- The position requires working with equipment such as mills, lathes, CNC grinders, and offers a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
- Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4:30pm and Friday from 8am to 3:30pm, with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
The purpose of the role - is to work with the wiser business team, operating and setting machines, in order to fulfil and meet business production targets.
Key requirements and duties:
Working within company health, safety and environmental policy and practises.
Machining in preparation for the manufacture, service and repair of tooling as instructed by department supervisor
Working within all company quality procedures to ensure tooling meets customer requirements every time.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Ability to problem solve with an analytical approach
Assessment of tooling following any unplanned downtime
Basic understanding of tool design and associated software packages
Type of equipment individual will be expected to work with includes:
Mills
Lathes
CNC
Grinders
Working hours are: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 3:30pm Friday.
