Information about the Role:
Working as a Senior Support Worker at The Cedars your duties will include the following:
路 Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
路 Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families.
路 Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times.
路 Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
路 Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
路 Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
路 Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.
路 If applicable, assist in the administration of medication.
Information about the Service:
The Cedars is a small CQC registered residential care home in Clacton-on-Sea for up to twelve people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and, sometimes, early onset dementia.
With the seafront only 200 yards away, we offer a warm, homely and caring environment to support people with their day-to-day living in safety and comfort. The building has recently been refurbished and it feels luxurious and stylish.
Many of the residents who live at The Cedars are referred to us due to their complex needs. We work closely with our Local Authority and placements team to provide a step-down pathway from hospital or to take care of people who can no longer live safely at home with our provision of supported living.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications:
路 Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people.
路 6-months experience of working as a Senior Support Worker.
路 We can also consider experienced Support Workers, Healthcare Assistants, Deputy Care Managers for this position.
路 NVQ/QCF Level 3
路 Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
路 Have the right to the work in the UK
