Welder Job Vacancy at Oxborrow Engineering Ltd.

Hours: 40 hours per week (8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday)

Type of contract: Full-time job

Oxborrow Engineering Ltd. is a steel fabrication company. At Oxborrow a team of dedicated staff members produce and install fabricated steel structures and bespoke products for a variety of clients across areas in and around Essex as well as across counties. At Oxborrow, we have ambitious plans for the future and we are expanding our business continuously.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced steel welder to join our team. You will work with other staff members to meet the diverse needs of our customers across the country. You will need to:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in steel fabrication industry
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and from drawing
  • Be able to work as part of a team, completing projects and meeting deadlines
  • Be highly motivated with the ability to solve problems and find bespoke solutions

You will need to have, and/or be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Essential

  • MIG welding knowledge/experience
  • Operating general steel fabrication machinery
  • Cutting and grinding
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings and texts
  • Willingness to undertake further training
  • Full UK driving license (Manual, Preferably Clean)

Desirable

  • Relevant fabricating/welding qualifications
  • TIG welding knowledge/experience
  • MMA welding (Stick welding) knowledge/experience

Other information

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview, followed by a practical test in January 2025.

Successful candidates may be asked to provide two references at a later stage.
