Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Disrepair Manager to oversee and deliver effective disrepair and reactive maintenance services within a social housing contract. Based out of the Croydon office, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Supervisors, Administrators, Planners, and Operatives to deliver a responsive and efficient disrepair service.
  • Oversee and continuously improve customer satisfaction across the contract, ensuring service excellence.
  • Review and manage large multi-trade repair jobs to ensure accurate scheduling, correct trade allocation, and appropriate timeframes.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to monitor and resolve invoicing issues that may impact contract profitability.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted in full compliance with Health and Safety standards and internal operating frameworks.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of maintenance works in alignment with contract expectations and budgetary constraints.


Person Specification:

  • Significant experience in the Repairs and Maintenance sector, particularly within social housing.
  • Demonstrable success in managing large-scale maintenance contracts and diverse teams, including both direct labour and supply chain partners.
  • Proven ability to manage and enforce Health and Safety protocols and regulations.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, profit/loss margins, and invoicing issues.
  • Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results and improving resident satisfaction.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
