Field Service Engineer

Sontex Machinery Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer who will ensure optimum customer satisfaction by providing first-class electrical and mechanical support. 

Repairing and refurbishing our range of packaging equipment and enhancing strong relationships with our growing customer base.

This is a full-time position.  Nationwide travel is an essential part of this role. Applicants would be ideally located within 40 miles of our office in Cleckheaton.

Field Service Engineer Requirements: 

  • Substantial experience in electrical, electronic and mechanical disciplines is essential.
  • With an understanding and ability to fault diagnose problems with our wide range of packaging machinery is a must.
  • Familiarity with machines; electrical parts; components and assembly are an essential part of this role.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities

  • Being able to control situations whilst providing a high standard of customer service and having a flexible approach to work.
  • Installation and commissioning the full range of packaging machinery at customer premises around the country.
  • Carrying out training programs at customer premises.
  • This role may involve loading products into machines, monitoring the packaging process when testing, troubleshooting or repairing any malfunction.
  • Contacting customers from our office, to organise your weekly working schedule to best utilise time efficiency.
  • When on site, assisting customers with spare part enquiries, orders, and technical queries.

Field Service Engineer Must Haves: 

  • Have a good basic geographical knowledge of UK locations.
  • UK full clean driving license
  • Occasional overnight ‘stop-overs’ may be required.
