What We’re Looking for in a Teaching Assistant:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting, ideally those with special educational needs (SEN)
  • A patient, caring, and child-centred approach that creates a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Ability to work well within a team, bringing positivity and a solution-focused mindset to every situation

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students aged 2 to 19 with a diverse range of needs, including PMLD, autism, and cognition and learning difficulties.
  • Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery, helping to tailor learning experiences that meet individual needs.
  • Encouraging students to engage in classroom activities and promoting their emotional and social development.
  • Helping students build confidence, self-esteem, and a love of learning in a nurturing environment.
