The Job:

On behalf of our client we are seeking a Case Handler. In this role you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to customers and their clients in the Personal Injury process by managing cases efficiently from providing nominations, instructing experts and arranging appointments to sourcing medical records and obtaining reports.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

  • To provide appropriate nominations to solicitors through accurate assessment of the case details.
  • Instruct an accredited medico-legal expert to a case in line with company SLA’s and solicitor specifications
  • To liaise with professionals such as solicitors and accredited medico-legal experts as well as the claimant
  • To coordinate and manage the booking of appointments, ensuring that the claimant is informed of their appointment through various means of communications.
  • To ensure that the instructed medico-legal expert has all the necessary paperwork including medical records.
  • To obtain a report in a time efficient manner and complete the necessary checks to ensure that the report is CPR compliant and fit for purpose.
  • To actively undertake training in areas of case management so that Company Policies and Procedures can be followed.
  • To ensure that database entries are up to date and files are kept in good working order. Accurate records of communication to all parties should be made on the database to retain a full communication trail.
  • To build relationships with solicitors through effective communication, providing regular updates on the progress of their cases.
  • To ensure that deadlines are appropriately diarised, communicated and tracked.
  • Working as part of a team to complete daily allocations, workflows, and meeting performance expectations.
  • To demonstrate planning and organisation of own time, showing the ability to proritise and complete daily allocations and workload.
