Academics is recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a small specialist school in Clevedon, North Somerset. This school provides a unique, supportive environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, offering a therapeutic and student-centered approach to learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work with small groups of students, supporting them across both academic and practical/vocational subjects, while contributing to an environment that prioritizes mindfulness and well-being. The small class sizes allow for individualised support, ensuring that you can make a real impact on each student's learning and personal growth.

To succeed in this role, you'll need previous experience working with SEN students, ideally with SEMH needs. You should have a passion for supporting young people and helping them overcome challenges, and enjoy working with small groups to make a positive impact. Experience with secondary school students is advantageous, though not essential.
