Pertemps are recruiting for a WirePerson for one of our clients based in Clevedon, BS21.

As a Wireperson you will report to the Production Manager and the Production Supervisor, and may have relationships with other departments.

Overview

  • 38.5 hours per week (covered over 4.5 days - early finish on a Friday)
  • Pay between 12.60ph and 14.50ph depending on experience and skillset
  • Flexible with required skills if keen and willing to learn

Responsibilities
  • To collect and check kits of parts against specifications sheet, drawings, & other issued documents.
  • To advise of any inconsistencies in documentation.
  • To assemble and wire sub-assemblies to relevant standards and layouts.
  • To rectify faults as instructed.
  • To undertake other reasonable tasks as requested.
  • To maintain a clean, tidy & safe work area at all times.

Required Qualifications / Knowledge

  • The H&S hazards, risks and controls to maintain safe working practices and environment.
  • The correct operation and use of work tools.
  • Interpret mechanical and wiring diagrams.
  • How to best assemble components on a gear tray.
  • Identify and understand the purpose of components.
  • How to correctly wire & lace a system.
  • How to check the continuity, polarity and integrity of a system.
  • Understand the importance of engineering standards.
