As a Systems Engineer, you will oversee and inspire a team of Systems Engineers and Verification & Test Engineers, responsible for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
You will manage projects from concept through to customer commissioning and field trials, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with specifications. By implementing systems engineering best practices, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee systems engineering activities across a range of projects.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2023 and INCOSE standards.
- Champion the adoption of best-practice systems engineering processes to enhance project delivery and performance.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and systems engineering teams effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and support validation and verification plans.
- Provide mentorship and expert guidance to engineers, fostering their growth and development.
- Monitor team progress, ensuring milestones are met and projects are completed on schedule.
- Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team environment and develop future systems engineering talent.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering within regulated, compliance-driven industries.
- Proven ability to lead, recruit, and develop systems engineering teams.
- Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., Sparx, Jama, IBM DOORS).
- Strong project and budget management capabilities with a focus on delivering results.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and semiconductor manufacturing processes is beneficial.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Chartered Engineer status or progression towards it is highly desirable.
- You will be part of an innovative team working on both large-scale and smaller projects, with the expectation for team growth.
- Occasional travel, both nationally and internationally, may be required.
