Senior SHE Manager sought by a leading manufacturer, this position is with a globally recognised organisation specialising in delivering innovative systems critical to manufacturing processes, including semiconductors, flat panel displays, LEDs, and solar technologies. The company is dedicated to environmental sustainability, assisting clients in reducing greenhouse gas emissions during microchip production.
Reporting to the SHEQ & BPI Manager, the Senior SHE Manager will ensure all employees can carry out their duties safely and with minimal environmental impact. This role offers direction and leadership to the site management team on Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) issues, ensuring adherence to legislative, safety, and environmental obligations. The successful candidate will define, implement, and continuously enhance the SHE Management System, aligning it with global standards and ISO requirements while supporting site goals.
Main Responsibilities
*Effectively roll out the SHE Management System across the site.
*Develop and deliver a strategy to continually improve the Safety, Health, and Environment *Management System in accordance with global and international standards.
*Manage the internal SHE audit plan and process, working towards an integrated SHEQ approach aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
*Monitor and report on compliance with SHE procedures, international standards, relevant legislation, and responsible business requirements.
*Work alongside global SHE and Quality teams to drive business enhancements.
*Support global SHE initiatives and perform audits as part of a worldwide audit plan.
*Act as the subject matter expert on practical SHE process implementation.
*Oversee SHE business process improvement projects.
*Promote and foster a positive safety culture within the organisation.
Experience & Skills
*Time served SHE experience.
*Membership in a professional body such as IEMA or IOSH.
*Strong report writing and presentation abilities.
*NEBOSH Advanced Diploma in Health and Safety Management or Level 6 equivalent (essential).
*Diploma in Environmental Management (preferred).
*Recognised expertise in applying ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
*Excellent coaching, listening, and questioning skills.
*Strong self-awareness and self-regulation, especially under pressure.
*Proven track record in managing complex improvement projects.
