iO is looking to recruit an experienced Development Engineer to work with a leader in mitigation and abatement worldwide, we are dedicated to reducing the adverse effects of semiconductor manufacturing on the environment and the natural world.
The Development Engineer will be working under the direction of a manager to plan, organize and deliver technology projects either alone or as part of team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 2:2 engineering degree or a track record of working in the field while holding additional engineering credentials.
  • Preferred is mechatronics or combined mechanical with a strong background in electronics or electrical.
  • Competence in system testing and electrical and mechanical design principles.
  • Expertise in product development processes, such as design, validation, requirements collection, and production transition.

Responsibilities:

  • To take part in HAZOP/DFMEA investigations and apply risk analysis methods in accordance with best practices, making sure that the actions that are taken as a result are included in a final test and commissioning document, factory acceptance test, or verification test plan.
  • Type testing and design compliance testing, including experiment design.
  • To support the design, carry out medium-to-complex FEAs and engineering computations.
  • Design engineering is the process of creating a product's entire mechanical design.
  • Participation in design reviews (specification, concept, model, and critical) is required.
