- Designing and develop all mechanical aspects of a product range and participating in design reviews (specification, concept, model and critical).
- Type testing and compliance testing of designs, including design of experiment.
- To support the introduction of new products onto the factory flow line and where necessary on customers’ sites.
- To ensure engineering changes are concluded in accordance with the planned schedule.
- Participate in HAZOP/DFMEA studies and use risk analysis techniques according to best practice ensuring that resulting actions are included in a verification test plan, factory acceptance test or final test and commissioning document.
- A minimum 2:2 Engineering degree or demonstrated industry experience with other engineering qualifications.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical design concepts and system testing.
- Familiarity with safety assessments, compliance standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in product development methodologies, including requirements gathering, design, validation, and manufacturing transition.
- Strong communication skills, organisational awareness, and impact.
- Experience with system characterisation, testing, and failure analysis techniques.
- Influencing, communication, presentation and negotiating skills, both internally and externally
