Our client designs and manufactures a range of electrical/electronic equipment for an industrial market. With the introduction of new products we are seeking an additional PCB Production Technician to join their growing production team.

Responsibilities and Duties within the role

- Work within company health and safety policies

- To assemble PCBs to agreed standards including soldering

- To rectify faults as instructed

- To maintain a clean, safe and tidy work area at all times, Lean 5s (including storage of PCBs and electronic components)

- To assemble and inspect kitted parts based on specification sheet, drawings, and other documents

- To advise of any inconsistencies in documentation

- Fit, wire, build and assemble power distribution units single and three phase

- Assemble and wire electrical components working from schematics and drawings.

- Using hand tools

- Complete all necessary production paperwork

- Generate and maintain department standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions

- Use Coral draw to generate labels.

- To be involved in continuous improvement, sharing of ideas and assisting with implementation

- To be involved in Lean techniques to improve productivity

- Adhere to ESD rules.

Qualifications / Knowledge

- Experience in Electronics/Electrical manufacturing environment preferred

- Interpret mechanical and wiring diagrams

- Soldering

- IPC certification (Desirable)

- Optimal techniques for assembling components

- Identify and understand the purpose of components

- Lean/5S

- Understand the importance of engineering standards
