What will the Financial Controller role involve?
- Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, hosting regular performance reviews to drive accountability and excellence.
- Establish and maintain a strong culture of financial control, ensuring audit compliance and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to your team, ensuring high morale and optimal performance.
- Analyse team activities, reduce inefficiencies, and implement best practices, including leveraging methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, period-end close processes, and adherence to statutory accounting and tax requirements.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:
- 5+ years leading and developing teams in a corporate environment.
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- A deep understanding of R2R processes, month-end close cycles, and financial system landscapes.
- Proven success in streamlining processes and guiding teams through technical accounting challenges.
- A track record of building strong relationships with senior business leaders.
