We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join our dynamic faculty in Basingstoke. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore and appreciate the world of design and technology, fostering both their academic and creative growth.
Job Title: Design Technology Teacher

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE and A-Level.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages students to explore various aspects of design, including product design, textiles, and food technology.
- Prepare students for examinations and practical assessments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate design technology education into the broader school curriculum.
- Organise and lead school projects, exhibitions, and other design-related events.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in design technology education and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Design Technology Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
