Quantity Surveyor overview:

An opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the the team of a leading national property developer and main contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to projects, minimisation of project costs to enhance margin and value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.

Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:

  • Collating and issuing tender packs for sub-contractor work packages
  • Negotiation and analysis of sub contractor tender returns
  • Producing tender analysis for sub contract work packages
  • Completion of sub contract orders and variations
  • Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
  • Completing monthly CVRs and cost reporting
  • Cost reporting and budget control
  • Attending site project meetings
  • Collating cash flow forecasts and key date trackers
  • Issuing monthly HA valuations

Quantity Surveyor requirements:

  • HNC in Surveying or equivalent
  • Experience working in residential sector of construction
  • Knowledge of COINs
  • Strong IT and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
