Your new companyYour new company are a globally recognised retailer with a real passion for their people. A leading global retailer with a with a true global presence, operating in over 25 countries. Due to a number of recent acquisitions across Europe they're now needing to strengthen their finance function with a Commercial Finance Manager.Your new roleIn your role as Fanancial Controller you'll play a pivotal role as the finance liaison for Senior Management Teams and the Board, overseeing management accounts, financial reporting, and maintaining robust controls over transactional accounting processes. You will lead the development and mentorship of a team of accountants and coordinate and review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial tasks. You will review the balance sheet reconciliation process for multiple entities and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. You'll plan and execute audit processes, ensuring prompt completion and maintaining auditor relationships and oversee preparation and submission of year-end statutory accounts compliant with IFRS & local GAAP.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this highly progressive role and company you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified and have experience working within large complex organisation. You'll be a passionate, ambitious individual that can influence others. Previous experience operating in a commercial role is essential. You'll be able to demonstrate clear examples where you'll improved processes, maximised margins, identified trends all to improve not only the finance function but overall business performance.
