Our client, a leader in delivering innovative and high-quality engineering solutions, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to develop their skills in a supportive environment while contributing to large-scale engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and submission of interim valuations and applications for payment.
- Support the monitoring of project costs to ensure budgets are maintained and variances are reported.
- Participate in the preparation of final accounts and resolution of contractual claims.
- Conduct material and quantity take-offs from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Support subcontractor management, including preparation of orders and assessment of applications for payment.
- Assist in the preparation of internal cost/value reports and other financial documentation.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.
Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or working towards one).
- Some experience or knowledge of quantity surveying practices, preferably within the engineering or construction sector.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Excel, project costing systems

- A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
