Term Time Only: Wednesday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Start Date: 6th January 2024

Five Education is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Teaching Assistant (TA) to work within a mainstream school in South Bristol/North East Somerset, supporting a Key Stage 1&2 (KS1/2) student with additional needs. This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with conditions such as Down Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and more.

Key Responsibilities:
- The role will be working 1:1 with a student throughout the week. You will provide tailored support to a student with specific educational needs, within a mainstream classroom setting.
- Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Provide tailored support during lessons, activities, and potentially break times.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Support students with communication strategies and interventions to aid their speech and language development.

Essential Criteria:
- Valid Driving License and access to a vehicle (the school is remote, public transport is difficult. If you are willing to walk for 45 mins after a bus journey, feel free to apply)
- A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot accept sponsorship or skilled worker visas).
- Relevant references and DBS/police checks.
- Availability to work 5 days a week (Mon - Fri), term time only (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
