- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the Training Kitchens, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Assist Chef Lecturers with tasks in the Training Kitchens as required.
- Ensure the Training Kitchens comply with current Health and Safety regulations.
- Receive food deliveries, ensuring they meet required specifications.
- Ensure the effective disposal of waste materials in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, stock items, and the temperatures of refrigeration and freezer units.
- Participate in Professional Development Planning.
- Collaborate with staff across the College to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to the development planning process within the department.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and College policies.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager within the scope of the post.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards in a kitchen setting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
