Job: Hospitality AssistantLocation: Clydebank, G81Contract: Temporary (Sickness Cover)Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to FridayPay: £12.55We are seeking a Hospitality Assistant to join our client's team on a temporary basis, covering sickness leave. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the Training Kitchens, ensuring they meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety. You will work closely with Chef Lecturers, supporting the smooth operation of the culinary training programs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the Training Kitchens, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
  • Assist Chef Lecturers with tasks in the Training Kitchens as required.
  • Ensure the Training Kitchens comply with current Health and Safety regulations.
  • Receive food deliveries, ensuring they meet required specifications.
  • Ensure the effective disposal of waste materials in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, stock items, and the temperatures of refrigeration and freezer units.
  • Participate in Professional Development Planning.
  • Collaborate with staff across the College to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to the development planning process within the department.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and College policies.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager within the scope of the post.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards in a kitchen setting.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
