Your new roleThis Management Accountant role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced in Reporiting and Analyssis to come in and devel;op the Business Partnering side of their career. This also has a genuine progression route to leadership for the right candidate. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly management accounts ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Produce variance analysis and investigate key discrepancies.
  • Support the Finance Director in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.

Cost & Performance Management

  • Conduct cost analysis to improve profitability and cost efficiencies in the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing KPIs
  • Work closely with operations and procurement teams to improve cost control.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure optimal working capital levels.
  • Oversee credit control and supplier payment schedules.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax obligations, and corporate policies.
  • Implement and maintain strong financial controls and process improvements.
  • Assist with VAT returns, payroll, and other regulatory reporting.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Support the implementation and improvement of finance systems to enhance reporting and efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools for better business insights.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in finance and operational processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Experience in manufacturing would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
