What you'll be doing:

  • Working Monday to Friday on a rotating days and afternoon basis. Current shift times are 5.30am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 9.30pm
  • The role will involve working as part of a team; requiring excellent communication and willing to take part in problem solving and continuous improvement exercises. Flexibility with a willingness to learn and embrace new skills will also form a fundamental requirement of the role.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely.
  • Ensure all equipment is in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Enforce and promote safety and housekeeping in your area of work.
  • To report safety and hazard faults.
  • Ensure customer quality standards are maintained at all times, including board/paper line up, starch viscosity checks, temperature and delamination checks.
  • Ensure a rapid response to machine failures and breakdowns and inform relevant departments (Team leader & maintenance).
  • Keep Shift Team Leader informed of work progress.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are rigidly adhered to and meet the agreed schedule (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly checks).
  • Employ continuous improvement techniques and share best practice with colleagues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to cover absence and sickness as required.
