Registered Children's Home Manager (3 Bed LD Service)

Location: Coalville, 

Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) plus performance-related bonus of up to £4,800 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm with on-call responsibilities out of hours

Home Details: 3 Bed Home, Ofsted GOOD, Learning Disabilities. 1 young person, full staff team and very settled home.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Home Manager to lead our 3-bed Learning Disabilities service in Coalville. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations, while fostering a supportive and settled environment for our young person and staff team.

Planning accepted for another home next door, so willingness to be dual registered is ideal but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Provide effective leadership and management to the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
    • Manage and support the staff team, ensuring they are motivated and well-trained.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements and standards.
    • Maintain the home’s Ofsted GOOD rating and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Care and Support:

    • Advocate for the young person and ensure their needs are met.
    • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the young person.
    • Foster a sense of belonging and stability within the home.
  • Operational Management:

    • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
    • Ensure the home is well-maintained and all health and safety regulations are met.
    • Participate in on-call duties as required.
  • Development and Expansion:

    • Support the planning and development of a new home next door.
    • Be willing to take on dual registration responsibilities if needed.

Essential:

  • Level 5 Management Diploma
  • Experience in managing a residential care home, preferably with a focus on learning disabilities
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with dual registration
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards
