Our client based in Coalville LE67, is looking for a Brake Press Operator to join their growing team.

ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Brake Press Operative will be competent in setting up and operating the CNC brake press machine to bend and shape metal components according to specifications.

The Brake Press Operative will be responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC plasma cutting machine to fabricate metal components accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities of the Brake Press Operator

  • Setting up and operation of CNC Press Brake machines
  • Reading of technical drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings, tooling requirements, and bending sequences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues or malfunctions that may occur during production.

General responsibilities of the Brake Press Operator:

  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • To assist in other areas of production such as welding, paint spraying, shot blasting and general fitting as deemed appropriate by your manager.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure optimal performance.

To be considered for the role of Brake Press Operative

  • Must have minimum 12 months experience operating Brake Press machines.
  • Be confident in reading Engineering and Technical Drawings
  • Good solid problems solving skills along with attention to detail.
  • FLT Counterbalance is desirable.
