We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Technical Operator to join our clients expanding team at their Coalville  site. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your skills and contribute to their global business. This is working a day shift on a 4 day on 4 day off  shift pattern working 12 hour shifts from 6am – 6pm.Objectives & Responsibilities
  • Operate bespoke machines for reusable packaging
  • Perform quality control to ensure products meet company specifications.
  • Conduct technical cleaning of equipment.
  • Repair and refurbish components used in the machines.
  • Maintain and manage tools and toolboxes.
  • Keep the production workshop clean and organised.
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on automated production lines.
  • Provide holiday and absence cover as needed.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety practices.
  • Foster good communication and teamwork across shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with external software support to resolve issues.
  • Actively seek and share productivity improvements.
  • Train others as required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to cover additional shifts for holidays, absence, and training.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable requests from directors, managers, or shift leaders.
The Candidate
  • Electrical/Mechanical experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with pneumatic maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and basic computer skills.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings, and manuals.
  • Skilled in fault-finding to the component level.
  • Understanding of production planning to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a keen eye for detail.
  • Full-time, permanent position with a 24/7 shift pattern.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Machine Technician (required)
