We're currently recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor for a Mechanical and Engineering Specialist Contractor. This role will be primarily based at a site in West London, W11 but will also cover sites across Greater London.
The overall responsibility of the role is to support the growth of the business by managing all Site Contract Work activity in a Safe and Compliant manner whilst also adhering to Programme of Works and meeting Client expectations
The ideal candidate will have come through the Mechanical Services trade path and have a clear understanding of the Mechanical Services industry
Background / Experience / General overview
- Desired experience working within Local authority or central government contracts within London or the surrounding home counties.
- Has experience of managing mechanical services projects.
- Lives within the M25 or surrounding home counties.
- Has experience working on social housing projects including retrofit andrefurbishment projects.
- Has a desire to take ownership of the role and growth within our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day supervisory/management of site construction activities including direct labour and sub-contractors whilst communicating and coordinating key project duties.
- Monitoring of the overall progress of works against the agreed construction programme.
- Working with the client and own team in managing day to day challenges
- Completing site progress reports and issuing to the Project / Contracts Manager.
- Liaising with the commercial team to co-ordinate changes/variations
- Maintaining accurate on-site records of all goods received on a weekly basis ensuring that these (including all delivery notes) are correctly processed.
- Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are implemented and followed.
- Deputising for the Project / Contract Manager if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Appropriate qualifications in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Demonstrate experience working as a Site or Contract Supervisor within the Construction/ME industry is essential. Working within Local Authority Contracts would be an advantage.
- Relevant Health and Safety qualifications such as a SSSTS/ISOH/NEBOSH
- Experience of delivering Contract as the Mechanical Contractor
- Excellent working knowledge of all MS office applications
- To have successful experience in dealing directly with Clients and the public
