We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a team of 10 within a busy steel fabrication environment. Excellent business with a strong reputation for retaining staff and offering stability. They are rapidly growing so this is an exciting time to be a part of the team there.

Salary:£50,000 per annum. 25 days holiday + banks. Flexibility around hours. Performance bonus. Sick Pay.

This Workshop Manager job will suit:

  • Experience working within the steel fabrication sector.
  • Proven Man Management / Supervisory experience, alongside a track record of improving processes across fabrication.
  • Health & Safety / Quality driven to ensure products are manufactured to a high standard.
  • Organised and a natural problem solver. Someone who wants to own the department and strive to continually improve all aspects.

The Workshop Manager job will involve:

  • Managing the fabrication processes ensuring products are delivered to specification and standards.
  • Man management of the team, supporting development / training where required.
  • Introducing new processes to help improve efficiency within the fabrication team.
  • Ensuring quality remains high and health & safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Working with necessary IT packages to manage work flow / oversee fabrication tasks e.g Nesting (using Lantek).

This job is commutable from Coalville, Leicester, Ashby, Derby, Castle Donington, Nuneaton.
