Our mission is to create a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.Role Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Head of Care to lead our dedicated care team and residential provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the residential care provision, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained. This role is pivotal in promoting the well-being and development of our students, working closely with educational staff, parents, and external agencies.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the residential care team, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each student.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with educational staff and external professionals.
- Maintain and promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Oversee safeguarding practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and external agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provision, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant qualification in social work, nursing, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care) is essential.
- Significant experience in a leadership role within a residential care setting, preferably with children and young people with SEMH and complex needs is essential to be considered for this position.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
