Night Shift Electrical Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer based in Leicestershire. This is a permanent career opportunity and is suited to a candidate who has worked within general electrical engineering, someone who is looking to progress a career in electrical maintenance engineering. Working a permanent night shift Monday to Friday, 21.30 – 05.30, the package offers a salary of up to £46000 plus enhanced holiday entitlement, a contributory pension scheme, and paid overtime. 

Collaborating with experienced engineers you will receive excellent training on managing and preparing for planned and preventative maintenance working within a fast-moving manufacturing environment. Your training will ensure that all equipment and services are maintained to the highest Health and Safety and operating standards with a need to reduce engineering downtime, therefore the need to respond rapidly to machine breakdowns and failures is crucial, working within the wider engineering team to deliver, develop, and improve maintenance schedules. If you have 18th-edition electrical, some knowledge of PLCs and 3-phase motors this could be a great advantage. 

As a Night Shift Electrical Engineer, you may have achieved NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering or served as an apprentice engineer, able to evidence at least 2-3 years of previous, relevant engineering experience. Reporting to the site engineering manager, you will undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations and machinery/equipment assessment. You will be responsible for all Health and Safety operating procedures, identifying, and managing risk, reporting on any accident, assessing near misses and any property damage caused at any time.
