Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on various machinery to ensure smooth production and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, identifying root causes instead of relying solely on system resets.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and communicate findings effectively to the team for timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve machinery performance and address potential issues proactively.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and work towards long-term solutions for recurring issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Ideally NVQ Level 3, ONC, or HNC in Electrical Engineering or a similar field. Time-served electricians with strong experience are also welcome to apply.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a logical approach.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with PLC systems is an advantage but not essential.

Shift Details:

  • Night Shift:
    • 9:30 PM - 5:30 AM, 5 days per week.
  • Overtime opportunities available.
  • Bank Holidays:
    • 8 bank holidays, with 5 mid-year holidays expected to be worked based on the shift schedule:
      • If rostered to work: double time plus a day back in lieu.
      • If not rostered: double time only.
    • Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day are not worked.
