We are currently recruiting for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer for a market leading manufacturing business based in Coalville.

This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion and business growth.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an FMCG / Industrial maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with PLCs Fault finding (Mitsubishi/ Omron/ Siemens/ Allen Bradley), AC/DC Drives, Inverters is a must. Mechanical experience with Hydraulics/ Pneumatics / Motors/ pumps is also a must.

The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on large scale FMCG Plant to ensure production levels are maintained.

Hours  Week 1 Mon – Friday 05.30 – 13.30

              Week 2 Mon – Friday 1330 – 2130

Candidates will ideally be time served and Electrically qualified.

Role Description

  • To ensure all equipment is in a safe & serviceable condition to maintain & enhance performance of all machinery .
  • Reduce engineering downtime, respond rapidly to machine failures & breakdowns
  • Undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations
  • To always keep open and clear lines of communication with management and fellow colleagues
  • To undertake, develop & improve planned maintenance schedules
  • To prioritise work within the engineering department & deploy resources accordingly
  • To identify training needs or ‘weak spots’ within the department
  • To ensure all equipment is in a safe & serviceable condition to maintain & enhance performance of all machinery within the corrugating / conversion plant

Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a Fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Candidates must be Time Served in an electrical discipline 
  • Strong working knowledge of Simens PLC’s
  • Knowledge of Mechanical systems including Hydraulics/ Pneumatics/ Motors/ Pumps 
  • Strong communication skills.
