Head of Finance - £45,000 - £50,000 - Full-time - Permanent

Macildowie are working with a well-established business in the logistics sector based in Coalville, to recruit a Head of Finance reporting straight into the directors. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to lead a team and drive process improvements in a dynamic environment.

The Role:

  • Leading a team including two Assistant Management Accountants and a Payroll & Treasury Accountant.
  • Managing finance systems, reporting, and internal audits.
  • Driving automation and efficiency in financial processes.
  • Overseeing month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns.
  • Reviewing and signing off payroll.
  • Working with external advisors on financial statements, audits, and tax returns.

What They're Looking For:

  • AAT qualified (minimum), CIMA part/fully qualified preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, Power BI knowledge desirable.
  • Proven ability to implement systems and improve processes.
  • A proactive, methodical, and deadline-conscious approach.
  • A positive, team-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
