We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in Coalville to appoint an experienced HR Officer to join their team on a full time basis!

This is an excellent role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting employees and management with expert HR guidance.

About the Role: As a Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role in providing expert HR advice and support to Directors, Principal Officers, and staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that HR practices align with Council policies, procedures, employment legislation, and both national and local conditions of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering comprehensive HR advice and support to management and employees across all departments.
  • Ensuring adherence to Council policies, employment legislation, and best practices in all HR activities.
  • Assisting in the resolution of employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
  • Supporting the recruitment and selection process, ensuring a fair and consistent approach in line with Council procedures.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources role, preferably within a public sector or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels.
