Position- Single site SHE ManagerLocation- Leicester (flexible start and finish but site based)Salary/Package- Up to £50,000 + up to 16% pension, bonus potential and 27 days holiday + bank holidays on top. HSE Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company who are looking for a HSE Manager to be based out of their brand new state of the art facility in Leicester. You will report into the Plant Manager but with a dotted line into a Head of HSE and work alongside a wider company EHS team. You will provide direction, support and ownership for all Safety, Health and Wellbeing activities on site. With this site, you will need to create the H&S culture and ensure the business complete their compliance journey as the plant moves into full production. It’s the future of the business, so over the next few years will need to become best in class factory site, something they are really proud to show off to clients / industry.You will guide and influence Operational Management to maintain high standards, champion innovation, drive continuous improvement and solutions to issues, promote positive culture and safe working practices and deliver the IMS to prove compliance. You will manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) and processes with site management that exist to monitor and control compliance to legislation, internal policies as well as being the lead of both internal and external audits and proactive SHE improvement activities.What we are looking for-
  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum
  • Experience in a manufacturing business- any experience setting up a new factory from a compliance and cultural perspective would be beneficial
  • This role would suit an established HSE Manager or an experienced HSE Advisor taking a step up.
  • ISO Systems experience
  • What’s important is someone who is hands on, shop floor focused, building relationships and influencing culture and behaviours.
