Rotational shift 6-2 and following week 2-10
We are seeking a reliable and organised Yards Person to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting production by maintaining an efficient, safe, and organised yard area. You will manage the loading and unloading of chemical deliveries, assist with inventory organisation, and support the team to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load & Unload Deliveries: Handle incoming and outgoing chemical deliveries, as well as raw materials and finished goods.
- Yard Maintenance: Ensure the yard area is tidy, organized, and safe for all team members.
- Support Production: Assist chemical mixers and material handlers by supplying required materials to maintain smooth production.
- Forklift & Equipment Checks: Perform daily inspections on forklifts, PPTs, and other equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Stock Management: Conduct weekly and monthly stock checks to maintain an accurate inventory of chemicals.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy, promoting a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Meet Production Targets: Contribute to achieving daily production goals through efficient yard and materials handling.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Yard housekeeping and organisation (audit compliance).
- Positive teamwork and collaborative attitude.
- Timely wash-through operations.
- IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) movements per shift.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Counterbalance, Flexi-Truck, Reach Truck, and PPT operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
- Quick learner with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
