Salary: Up to £32,000Location: Coalville (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office)Working Hours: Full-time
The RoleAs a Payroll Assistant, you will support the payroll function to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Responsibilities include:
- Processing payroll transactions, including starters, leavers, and salary changes
- Managing HMRC submissions and ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, and pensions
- Handling employee payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy
- Assisting with monthly reporting, reconciliations, and data validation
- Working with payroll software to input and verify payroll data
- Supporting the year-end process, including P60s, P11Ds, and RTI submissions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous payroll experience within a finance or HR function
- Knowledge of HMRC legislation, PAYE, NI, and pension contributions
- Experience using payroll systems such as Sage, ADP, Workday, or iTrent
- Strong Excel skills and an analytical approach to data
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
