Cherry Professional are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join a growing team. This pivotal role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and driving growth within the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering partnerships that enhance market presence.

Key details
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve organisational goals
  • Identify potential clients and business opportunities through market research and networking
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored solutions that meet client needs
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Utilise CRM software, to track leads, manage client interactions, and report on sales activities

  • Proven experience in business development or sales roles, within UK / European Freight Freight
  • Proven track record in European Freight Forwarding road freight sales and development
  • Commercial understanding of logistic processes
  • Strong understanding of CRM software, with proficiency in Salesforce being highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills, enabling the identification of market trends and business opportunities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
