Hays are working in partnership with an 11-16 Secondary School in Coalville in North Leicestershire. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher. This is a part-time role from January 2025 to the end of the academic year.

For this role, you will be experienced at teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 and 4, including at GCSE. Due to this being a long-term contract, full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking, will be required.

Job Description

  • Delivering engaging and creative Maths lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities such as Maths/STEM clubs and school trips.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in Maths or related field
  • Recent experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
