Maintenance Technician

Days - Monday to Friday 7am - 4:30pm

£52,000 - £53,000 + Overtime and Bonus

This is a days based role, suitable for a Maintenance Technician with a mechanical bias, who has strong planning and CMMS experience. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role that blends hands-on technical work (20%) with planning and strategic development (80%). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our plant operates efficiently and reliably while driving improvements and supporting the transition to a computer-based maintenance management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Management: Assist in the migration to a fully computer-based maintenance management system, ensuring seamless implementation.
  • Team Development: Analyse root causes of mechanical issues, review technical drawings, and mentor the mechanical team to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Capex Project Implementation: Plan and execute plant and maintenance capital expenditure projects, ensuring activities are conducted safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Manage subcontractors on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Plant Improvements: Identify and eliminate recurring plant issues through innovative engineering solutions.
  • Reliability Optimization: Drive improved plant reliability by adopting and applying industry best practices.

Requirements for the Maintenance Technician:

  • Mechanical Bias
  • Minimum Level 3 Engineering Qualification / Apprenticeship trained
  • Experienced working in heavy industries such as mining, quarrying, clay etc.
  • Experienced working on CMMS systems
  • Strong organisation skills
