Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Press Brake Operator to join an established and growing company in the Glasgow region. Our client is a national manufacturer, dedicated to top-quality door solutions for a diverse range of sectors including Shipbuilding, Navy Supply, Oil & Gas, and offshore Wind Energy Projects.

What's on Offer:

  • Offering £17ph while temporary then once permanent £14.50

  • 5 working days (early Friday finish)
  • 7am to 4:30pm Mon to Thurs, 7am to 12pm Fri

Role

  • Operate and set up press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the required specifications for each job.
  • Use hand tools and machinery to fabricate, assemble, grind, and weld components as needed.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and adjustments during the fabrication process.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
