Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the financial performance, service delivery, and compliance of a multi-location M&E contract. This is a key management role that involves overseeing technical and operational services, ensuring safety and quality standards, and building strong client relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team, driving contract performance, and ensuring client satisfaction while adhering to all statutory and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the overall financial performance and profitability of the contract.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
  • Effectively manage all risks relating to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) through RAMS, PPE, training, and procedures.
  • Develop strong working relationships with operational teams, business partners, suppliers, and subcontractors to improve service delivery and performance.
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships, ensuring services are tailored to client needs.
  • Manage service delivery across multiple locations, ensuring resources are used efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Oversee SLA’s and KPI’s to ensure service levels are met and exceeded where possible.
  • Work with mobile teams to plan, implement, and monitor the PPM schedule and reactive works.
  • Ensure all work completion times for planned, corrective, and reactive tasks are logged and recorded within the client/company’s asset management system.
  • Regularly review and audit contract performance to ensure legislative compliance and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates to the Account Manager on contract performance, including identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead, train, and support direct reports, driving professional development and contract success.
  • Drive business improvement initiatives and negotiate successful contract terms.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client deliverables across all service areas.
  • Foster effective working relationships with third-party suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Drive profit improvement through sales generation and cost-saving initiatives with the operations teams.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in contract management, ideally within M&E or Facilities Management.
  • Strong knowledge of building services and relevant legislation.
  • Technical background with M&E qualifications.
  • H&S qualification and experience with water systems and Legionella Control (HSG274).
  • Experience with CAFM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
  • Asbestos awareness and industry-recognized qualifications.
  • Must possess a full, clean driver’s license.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to manage demanding clients and build effective relationships.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to work in high-pressure environments and make decisions under extreme circumstances.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven track record in managing multi-location contracts.
  • Strong understanding of client needs and the ability to tailor services accordingly.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and smart appearance at all times.
  • Previous experience with Facilities Management in complex settings.
