Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and optimisation of hybrid cloud platforms, ensuring uptime, performance, and scalability.
- Promote an "automation-first" approach, employing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), serverless computing, and AI-driven operations to streamline processes.
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes in alignment with SLAs and KPIs to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team, fostering a culture of innovation and ownership.
- Develop and maintain robust data protection, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on infrastructure projects, including migrations and upgrades, while maintaining rigorous change control processes.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and develop roadmaps for next-generation infrastructure and AI-driven operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing critical IT infrastructures in high-availability, 24/7 environments.
- Expertise in hybrid cloud technologies, IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and serverless architectures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on creating a customer-centric culture.
- Thorough understanding of networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and capacity management.
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and security standards (e.g., NIST).
- Prior experience in a service provider environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker is highly desirable.
