Manufacturing Engineer (Steel)£30,000-£35,000 + Company Benefits + Training + Progression + Mon-FriCoatbridge (Commutable from Glasgow/Hamilton/Motherwell)Are you a Junior / Graduate looking to become a Manufacturing Engineer looking to join a leading global manufacturer for the defence sector, who offer comprehensive training, future progression and the opportunity to work on high value projects?On offer is the exciting opportunity to work for an industry leading bespoke door manufacturer that specialises in fire-rated, watertight, and blast-rated doors, as well as a range of marine hardware like panic systems and heavy-duty latches. The majority of their work is project based for multiple defence companies across the UK.In this varied role, you will work with design and production teams to convert customer needs into effective shop floor instructions and tackle production issues to enhance quality and efficiency. You'll implement lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, lead improvement projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and liaise with certification bodies and stakeholders as necessary.This role would suit a Graduate or Junior looking to move into a Manufacturing Engineering position or looking to join a growing global leader in marine doors and hardware, offering training, a range of company benefits, and a great work-life balance.The Role:

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing on steel products
  • Liaising with Design/Production/Suppliers/Clients
  • Using AutoCAD / Solidworks
  • Mon - Thurs (7:45AM-4:45PM), 1:15PM finish on a Friday

The Person:

  • University or Higher Education educated
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Commutable to Coatbridge
