Our client, a well-established and reputable company based near Glasgow, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in delivering high-quality steel structure projects across the UK.
The RoleAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial management of steel structure projects from inception to completion, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness. Your duties will include:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Managing contracts, variations, and valuations
- Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company policies
- Identifying and managing risks while maximising commercial opportunities
- Preparing and presenting financial reports
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or steel structures industry
- Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement, and cost control
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and estimating tools
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
