Description
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and relevant financial regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Process and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare tax filings, VAT returns, and support external audits.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to management to support business decisions.
- Assist in improving financial systems and processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting best practices and regulatory changes.
Profile
- May be studying towards an Accountancy qualification.
- May have previous experience working as a Financial Accountant.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a financial accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is a plus).
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Offer
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000
- Hybrid working,
